Hi! I'm Amie, creator and director of A* Training UK

I've been teaching and training for the past 20 years and it all started when I joined a fantastic charity, which enabled young people to learn and understand more about topics such as substance abuse, bullying, sexual health, self-esteem and much more.. through peer education. I received over 100hrs of training to deliver workshops to local schools, I attended local community events as well as youth centres and after school clubs.
At the age of 23, I entered the Aviation Industry with big dreams of becoming a Safety and Emergency Instructor, which I did at the age of 28. Travelling and receiving invaluable training in topics such as First Aid, Fire safety & Fire Fighting Skills, Decision Making, Threat & Error Management and Communication to name a few have added immensely to my skillset.
Having worked with such a diverse range of people over many years has really given me invaluable skills and experience to do what I do. I have worked with Pilots, Cabin Crew, Managers and Supervisors as well as children and young adults from all walks of life.
In doing so, I have recognised that effective communication, teamwork and how we perceive situations vastly impacts how we work together as a collective, no matter what industry or field you may work within.
My goal is to see as many people receive high quality first aid training as possible. It is a valuable life skill, not only in the work place but to be able to have the knowledge and confidence to help family members, friends or maybe even a stranger on the street could prove life saving and you never know when you may need it...​
